Stayhealthy and Discovery Consumer Products Sign Deal to Sell Weight Management Products in Discovery Channel Stores.

Discovery Consumer Products, the retail, catalog and e-commerce division of the Discovery Channel Inc., has signed an agreement to sell products from Stayhealthy, Inc., a leading provider of Internet-enabled health monitoring devices and programs.

Discovery Consumer Products has purchased Stayhealthy's Body Composition Analyzers and Calorie Trackers for nationwide sale through the chain's 170 stores and online at During 2001, nearly 70 million customers shopped at 170 Discovery Channel Stores across the United States.

Marketing support for the launch of the Stayhealthy line at Discovery Channel Stores will come from advertisements on selected networks including Discovery Health Channel. Stayhealthy will also demonstrate its Body Composition Analyzer during Discovery Health's upcoming six-city Body Challenge Mall Tour put on by Discovery Health Channel.

Dr. Joyce Brothers, world-renowned advocate for healthy lifestyles and spokesperson for Stayhealthy, will also show her support for the product through earned media appearances related to weight management and related health issues.

The Stayhealthy products will begin appearing in select Discovery Channel Stores in January 2002, with a full roll-out to the chain's 170 stores and availability on by March 2002.

To assist shoppers in learning about the advantages of Stayhealthy's comprehensive health and fitness programs and how to use the Body Composition Analyzer and Calorie Tracker, Stayhealthy will provide instructional videos that will be demonstrated in the stores and be available online at the DCI and Stayhealthy Web sites.
