State Council in Oman discusses draft budget, ninth plan.

Muscat: State draft budget of 2016, the 9th Five-Year (2016-2020) development plan, and report of the expanded committee taking into account the economic conditions experienced by the global economy in general as a result of the drop in oil prices, was discussed by the State Council members.

The members also discussed the consequent repercussions in the light of the outcomes of the extensive discussions and the interpositions of the members during submission to the Council of Ministers.

The meeting also adopted the minutes of the second regular session of the 1st annual sitting of the 6th term.

The members reviewed the reports submitted by the Secretariat General, in addition to some of the topics on the agenda and took appropriate decisions in their regard.

The State Council held on Tuesday its third regular session chaired by Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council. It discussed suggestions of the panel consisting of the Economic Committee and the heads of the standing committees of the Council.
