Stash style.

Finding the perfect piece of furniture, be it a buffet for your dining room, sofa for your living room, or mirror for your mantel, can be daunting. For many of us, the furniture and accent pieces we have in our homes will be with us for years, and maybe even passed down through family.

Stash, located on the Historic Square in Oxford, offers exceptional value and a unique selection of gorgeous items for the home.

"Our goal is to deliver on the most current trends and styles, in the most eclectic atmosphere," explains Linda Wilson, store manager. "We have a team of designers on the mission to find the latest products to inspire our customers. From furniture and rugs to lamps and artwork, we can outfit your home in a variety of styles: new traditional, transitional, cottage, modern, casual. You'll find a little of it all at Stash!"

With the tag line "high style ... low price," Stash features quality brand-name furniture and decor and occupies a nearly 2,500-square-foot showroom. "It's a cozy space and has tremendous character with original brick walls and old wooden floors," says Wilson. "The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the store is full of unique and special finds."

Stash is owned by The Dufresne-Spencer Group, a family-owned business operating in Tupelo and Memphis. It is designated as a Top 100 Furniture Group, a notable distinction by Furniture Today, the industry trade publication that tracks and ranks U.S. furniture retailers based on size and volume. The Dufresne-Spencer Group ranked No. 61 in 2012, operating 18 retail stores in 6 states, including a second Stash showroom in Memphis.

"Being recognized as a Top 100 Furniture Group opens many doors for us," explains Todd Garten, Stash's executive director. "We are able to utilize our buying power and relationships with manufacturers to gain access to products that not everyone can buy."

Their buying power includes purchasing inventory from factory overruns, overstocks, closeouts, samples, and more. "Because of the way we buy," notes Garten, "we are often able to bring these items to the consumer from 30 to 70 percent off retail prices."

Stash's inventory--called "stash stock," market samples, and overstocks--is carefully selected to provide customers with value and a variety of options in which to economically and stylishly furnish and decorate their homes.

"Our stash stock and overstock pieces are either in stock in our distribution center or can be ordered," says Wilson. "We also have special-order capabilities on several of our stash stock pieces. However, with market samples and overstocks, what you see is what you get!"

On occasion, the store may feature a sale, but their prices already reflect a deep discount. "Stash is not a 'mark it up to mark it down' retailer, so big sales and lots of advertising isn't our thing," explains Wilson. "We focus on providing good value to our customers on an everyday basis and therefore price our items to move."
