Startup law firm gets help from JEDCO to open in Kenner.

A startup law firm is opening in Kenner with the help of a Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission program.<br />Attorney Jahida Lewis-Crawford's firm received nearly $290,000 to go towards a $324,000 loan. The support from the JEDCO Growth Fund helps cover her costs for purchasing equipment, supplies and furniture as well as operating expenses.<br />The Law Office of Lewis-Crawford LLC is located on the first floor of 1506 Williams Blvd. A grand opening is scheduled Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.<br />A news release says that Lewis-Crawford, a Kenner native, plans to specialize in plantiffs' law and offer a broad range of affordable legal services to local, state and national clients.<br />To sign up for free CityBusiness Daily Updates, click here.
