Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. (Foundries' Starring Roles).

Characters in the Star Wars films have traveled to the far reaches of the galaxy to fight evil, but until recently, they had never ventured into the foundry industry. In Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala travel to the planet Geonosis, home of a battle droid foundry, to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Geonosian foundry and robot manufacturing operation is the backdrop to an action sequence where Anakin and Padme attempt to locate Obi-Wan. While Anakin fights Geonosians and battle droids on an assembly line, Padme finds herself trapped within a giant crucible, in line for a fully automated metal tapping mechanism. Fortunately, just before the metal comes pouring down, R2-D2 shuts off the system to save her.

Foundry Advances: When viewing the latest addition of Star Wars, watch for some incredible robotics and a fully automated manufacturing line at the plant that requires little to no supervision. The Geonosian foundry also offers such value-added services as machining and assembly. The system can lead to the occasional mix-up, however, as C3-PO's head is accidentally placed on the body of a battle droid.
