Star Vitor is here for the Beer.

Byline: CRAIG SWAN

HAPOEL BEER SHEVA last night jetted into Glasgow still agonising over the availability of star stopper Miguel Vitor.

The Portuguese defied medical odds to travel with his colleagues ahead of tomorrow night's first leg against Celtic.

Vitor was virtually ruled out of it last week, only for a miraculous recovery to give him an outside chance of featuring for the Israelis.

Manager Barak Bakhar, who is already without skipper Elyaniv Barda for both legs against the Scottish champions, is short of defensive options.

Vitor's recovery would be a major bonus for the boss but he took part in only light sessions over the weekend before boarding the team flight from Tel Aviv yesterday morning.

Bakhar is set to test to the centre-back's fitness during tonight's training session at Parkhead and a decision will be made on his availability.

Vitor said: "I will do everything possible to play. This is one of the most important games of my football career."
