Star Thermoplastic Announces New Executive Appointments.

Star Thermoplastic Alloys & Rubbers, acustom solutions provider in thermoplastic elastomers and specialty plastic alloys, appointed Steve Samluk and Dr. Krishna Venkataswamy to key executive roles.

"I am very excited to have Steve and Krishna on my executive team to drive our company's growth."

Samluk, who joined the management team as national sales director in July 201 8, has been appointed vice president of sales. Prior to joining Star Thermoplastic, he held several executive sales leadership roles at global companies and brings over 30 years of commercial experience in thermoplastic elastomers.

Venkataswamy, who joined Star Thermoplastic as vice president, business development and technical marketing in January 201 9, has been appointed to the newly created role of executive vice president, business development, where he will lead business development, marketing, and innovation. Prior to joining the company, Venkataswamy served as senior vice president and chief technology officer at Interface Performance Materials. He received the SPE's Research and Engineering Technology Award in 2012, the SPE Fellow Award in 2006, the Outstanding Achievement Award for Leadership in 1 999, and the American Chemical Society's Sherwin-Williams Award in Applied Polymer Science in 1986.

Founded in 1993, Star Thermoplastic's key products are sold under the trade names DynaStar[R], StarBond[R], StarClear[R], StarFlex[R], StarCrip-X[R], StarMed[R], StarPet[R], StarPrene[R], and StarSoft[R].
