Stacey Dooley admitted she would hate to see boyfriend Kevin Clifton with another woman or even touching someone else in a loving way - which could make the upcomingStrictly Come Dancingseries hard to watch.

The Strictly 2018 winner, who went on to start a relationship with her professional dance partner after the series wrapped, confessed polyamory would never work for her as she would get too jealous.

Appearing on Sunday Brunch, Stacey was quizzed by hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer on her upcoming documentary series Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over.

"There's a polyamorous family," she started, before Simon interrupted to ask: "What does that mean?"

"So more than two people in a loving relationship... you're not sold, are you Tim?" Stacey laughed.

"Well, it's not for me," Tim quipped.

"It's not for me!" Stacey protested.

As the programme played a clip from her episode about a poly family, Stacey went on: "What really took me by surprise was when we were all on the sofa and the husband and wife - obviously married and they've got a little boy, and then the girlfriend comes in and out.

"I saw the husband [stroking the girlfriend's arm] really lovingly and the wife was looking on like, 'Oh I'm so made up they've got this connection', and I just find that really hard to comprehend. I think I'd be jealous."

Asked by the hosts whether she could ever have a polyamorous relationship, Stacey hit back: "I think it works for them I don't think it's a front.

"Could I? Not in a million years! I'd be terrible, I'd be sliding down the walls. No, just the one for me."

The 32-year-old investigative journalist also hinted that she's thought about having children as she spoke about a family who practise child-led parenting.

"Essentially it's no rules, so the kids sort of rule the roost. They don't even go to school, the kids. They don't follow a curriculum. I couldn't get my head around that one," she confessed.

"Children need boundaries - we all do," Tim pointed out.

"Yeah, I don't think it would work in my household," Stacey went on.

"They're all toddlers. I sort of I admire their desire to do what they think is right for their family, and I like that they don't care seemingly what the rest of us think, but I do think children need boundaries.

"Obviously I'm not a mum, but if I was a mother I imagine that kids need boundaries and school is so important," she added.

"Education is such a privilege that so many kids don't have, it feels slightly strange that they're not taking advantage of it."

Her comments came after she and Kevin filmed their return to Strictly for next Saturday's launch show, where Kevin's new celebrity partner for the 2019 series will be unveiled.
