Stabbed boy, 16, tried to get to his home.
Jason Carney Mayze, 16, died yesterday morning two days after he was knifed at Balti Spice in Clock Face, St Helens.
He tried to drag himself 100 yards down Gartons Lane towards his home in Beechwood Close but he collapsed close to Wong's fish and chip shop.
His family were today too upset to talk.
But flowers from family and friends were being placed outside the takeaway yesterday in tribute to him.
One from his grandfather said: "To my J J. Love you all the world."
Another read: "Love you mate. All my love."
Meanwhile local residents spoke of their shock. One said: "Clock Face is a quiet village, there's never anything like this."
Forensic officers have examined the scene and police are viewing CCTV images.
The Balti Spice is run by a family from Greater Manchester who travel to Clock Face to run the takeaway each night.
Boshor Uddin, 37, of Beswick Roids Street, Rochdale, who works there, was yesterday charged with the murder when he appeared at St Helens Magistrates' Court.
He was remanded in custody to reappear at Liverpool crown court on February 6.
Three other men have been bailed.
