St Christopher's seniors excel in inter-school run.
In the Senior Boys, Jeremy Joseph raced to victory in a time of 11 minutes and one second, ahead of schoolmate Alce Spalding in 12.05.
Lydia Hassan was crowned Senior Girls champion in a time of 17.53, beating the French School's Chloe Tournier by nine seconds.
French School pupils Karim Abdul Aziz and Youssef Ramadan produced a closely-fought battle in the Intermediate Boys category but in the end, Ramadan was nine seconds behind Abdul Aziz' time of 12.30.
In the Intermediate Girls meanwhile, British School of Bahrain's Vanessa Becker's time of 15.46 proved too quick for her schoolmate Anna Hassen, who finished second.
It was a successful day all round for the British School, as Nathan Hitchen saw off the challenge of the French School's Zareh Tehiroyn in the Junior Boys category, in a time of 13.35, while, in another all-French School affair, Mathilde Abraham's time of 15.38 was enough to claim the Junior Girls title ahead of Farah Ramadan.
In total, over 100 athletes from nine different schools took part in the run, organised by Lycee Francais MLF De Bahrain athletic director Redha Ghuloom.
The first of these 3km runs took place at the same venue last month and the third in the series has been scheduled for January 18.
The Lycee Francais MLF is also set to play host to the start of the school volleyball season in January, as well as taking part in squash, basketball and soccer leagues for both boys and girls.
