Business Editors & High-Tech Writers

HOLMDEL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2001

Square One, a networking and systems integration firm, announced an upcoming remote access technology seminar with iPass(TM) Inc., a premier provider of carrier-grade remote access services. The seminar will leverage their three-year alliance and showcase the best practices of corporate clients using their joint services. A representative from RSA Security, a leader in the authentication and encryption security field, will present an overview of the technologies available to prevent unauthorized access into corporate networks.

"Remote Access and Virtual Private Networks: Secure and Simple" is an interactive seminar that will focus on network security solutions, specifically those that relate to managing mobile professionals and safeguarding Internet-based remote communications. The seminar is scheduled for July 12, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Sheraton Conference Center in Eatontown, New Jersey.

"This seminar furthers iPass' initiative to keep corporate America informed about the usability, security and cost benefits of global roaming," said Michael Mansouri, chairman and CEO of iPass. "We are pleased to have Square One as an iPass Solution Partner and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to jointly brief executives in the Greater New York area on the benefits of the iPass service."

An increasing number of companies are now using the Internet to conduct business with remote offices, customers, and suppliers. Thus, one of the biggest challenges for many IT professionals is in implementing secure, cost-effective solutions for mobile employees requiring remote connectivity to corporate applications. Using a case study approach combined with informal presentations, product demonstrations and numerous opportunities for addressing specific questions from participants, the seminar will address security and budget issues relating to virtual private networks (VPNs) and emerging technologies for secure remote access.

"Business executives always ask us if there is a network access and security solution that is affordable and simple to deploy," said Square One president Keith Martin. "We're pleased to team with industry leaders and valued partners like iPass and RSA and offer seminars that help companies implement a remote access solution that ensures security and saves money at the same time."

Seminar attendees will receive a complimentary network vulnerability report on up to five servers/devices. Interested individuals can view additional details and register online at
