Spurs set to missM odric; Against all odds The inside track from the odds-compilers on their weekend football prices.

v vAlan Alger, Blue Square Tottenham v West Brom showed why they are fast becoming one of the Premier League's solid stayers with a fine demolition of Liverpool and our Premier League trader is happy to lay Tottenham in their opening home fixture at odds-on.

Spurs fans cannot hold Modric in such high regard and then not expect the team to suffer without him in there.

Despite signing Emmanuel Adebayor, we feel they are weaker and it's a good time, so early in the season, to take them on.

Southampton v Wigan It was a brilliant performance from the Saints on the opening day against City but we feel that the even-money around is an overreaction because Wigan themselves were pretty impressive against Chelsea.

We are 11-10 Southampton and can see it drifting. We're certainly happy to take them on at the prices and avoid the away win.

Bradford v AFC Wimbledon We like to shout from the rooftops when teams come out of our sponsored divisions and kick on in the Football League but Wimbledon's problems have been evident since the midway point of last season.

I strongly fancied Burton on Tuesday but was surprised by their wide-margin victory. I feel Terry Brown's current squad wouldn't even be in the first six in the betting if he'd assembled it for a Blue Square Bet Premier campaign.

They look set to struggle and we are shortest about a Bradford win and would want to stay there.

Their midweek success at home to Fleetwood was excellent form in comparison.
