Spurs celebrate; BASKETBALL.

MVP Tim Duncan led the San Antonio Spurs to their third NBA title in the decisive Game Seven of the finals.

Duncan was superb in the biggest game of his career as the Spurs found the resolve to dethrone the Detroit Pistons with an 81-74 victory.

Duncan collected 25 points and 11 rebounds and was the fulcrum of virtually every key play down the stretch.

Poor performances in Games Five and Six had many questioning Duncan's determination but, in his first Game Seven, he rescued the Spurs in the third quarter and controlled the game in the final period.

The Spurs claimed their third title in seven years.
