Sports package.

PRIMARY schools in the Hope area, near Wrexham, will reap the benefits this summer of joining the Dragon Sport Scheme, a Sports Council for Wales initiative set to expand in Flintshire.

The expansion means Dragon Sport will have reached 43 of the county's primary schools in under two years, including all primary schools in the Saltney, Hawarden, Deeside, Buckley and Mold areas. Free equipment, resource cards and staff training are part of a package which the schools have been given with the aim of creating greater sporting opportunities for children between seven and 11 years old, and to promote healthy lifestyles.

A major aim of Dragon Sport is to recruit and train volunteers.
