Lincoln manager Keith Alexander is out of hospital after making good progress in his recovery from brain surgery.

The 45-year-old collapsed at his home last month and had been recovering at Sheffield's Royal Hallamshire Hospital from a complex operation to repair a ruptured cerebral aneurysm - the swelling of a blood vessel.

"Although it's too early to tell for sure, he's getting fitter and stronger every day," said Lincoln's acting manager Gary Simpson, who is in charge of first-team affairs until further notice.

The Imps have re-signed striker Marcus Richardson on loan from Hartlepool.
