World Cup Countdown
Sky Sports 1, 12.30pm, 6.30pm, 11pm & 3am
THERE'S a World Cup on the horizon, you know, writes Steve Palmer.
Our cricketers go into battle for the most prized piece of silverware in the game next week, yet not many people seem that interested. Unlike for the football equivalent in the summer, no-one appears to be adorning their vehicles with the flag of St George or painting their faces in red and white.
In my humble opinion, I think this is because Joe Public realises we have no chance with Steve "Wideboy" Harmison spearheading our bowling attack.
Rather than bother with an umpire when Harmison is charging in, why not just place a scarecrow behind the bowling crease, who automatically has his arms outstretched?
We should just go the whole hog and send Devon Malcolm out there to partner Harmy.
