Spongers soaking the system.
New figures show that greedy spongers are taking the system for a ride.
An estimated 80,000 "unemployed" are claiming welfare while working in the murky black economy. The scale of the abuse was a surprise to Ministers, but to the rest of us it's old news.
It's time the Government woke up and put a stop to this smash-and-grab job on the wallet of PAYE workers who forked out a massive pounds 2.5billion to fund social welfare last year.
The dole cheats have to be weeded out of the system and prosecuted for their fraud. And a public register must now be printed to throw the spotlight on the welfare racketeers so everyone knows who they are.
Their greed is not only ripping off honest workers, it's also making life tough for genuine welfare victims.
The news that pounds 260million in dole payments was lost to fraud has brought out the anti-welfare lobby who want to see the whole system abolished.
That means the poorest, most vulnerable members of society - mostly children - will have to pay for the swindlers' greed.
There are also people who need a few extra bob on top of welfare to make ends meet. They should be brought back within the system without losing their entitlements. But many of the cheats are well off and are laughing all the way to the bank.
The biggest offenders in the social welfare sting are unscrupulous employers who pay cut-rate wages under the table and ignore the books.
The full review of the live register announced yesterday could spell the beginning of the end for the spongers.
But we must be careful that it does not become a witch hunt and hurt the genuine welfare cases who need our help.
