Sponda Oyj (HEL:SDA1V) reported on Thursday that on 6 July 2017, it received a notification that the holding of Polar Bidco S.a.r.l in Sponda's shares is now 15.18 %.

Polar Bidco S.a r.l (the offeror), a corporation owned by funds advised by affiliates of The Blackstone Group L.P, and Sponda had, on 5 June 2017, entered into a combination agreement under which the Offeror will make a voluntary recommended public tender offer to purchase all issued and outstanding shares in Sponda.

Under this tender offer, the offeror has reserved the right to buy shares of Sponda before, during and/or after the offer period in public trading on Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd or otherwise.

As a result, under such share purchases, the offeror's direct holding in Sponda has increased to 15.18%.

Sponda is a property investment company specializing in commercial properties in the largest cities in Finland.
