Splice Acquires Indaba Music, Online Music Community That Pioneered Remix Contests and Created the Rubber Tracks Sample Library.
28 February 2018 - New York, US-based music technology company Splice has acquired New York, US-based online music community Indaba Music to expand online platform for musicians, the company said.
Exact terms of the acquisition will not be disclosed.
Indaba said it was founded to connect musicians in new ways and accelerate their creativity with creative content and opportunities.
Splice has the resources and team needed to bring it to the next level. Splice will expand remix competitions and begin to offer other activations designed to help musicians create and collaborate more.
Splice's platform connects a community of over 1.4m musicians to music production tools, creative assets and each other. The platform integrates the digital production process to one user-friendly interface that improves the creative workflow of modern musicians.
