Spl Assistant to CM visits Legal Aid Society's call centre.

KARACHI -- Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Women Development Ms Irum Khalid Monday visited call center of Legal Aid Society, a non-governmental organization established in Clifton Karachi.

Executive Director Asad Jamil and Team Leader Maleeha Zia briefed Ms. Irum Khalid regarding the working and functions of the organization, said a statement.

They informed that thousands of people were receiving free legal advices through this call center not only from Sindh but from other parts of the country as well.

Irum Khalid visited different sections of Legal Advisory Call Center and appreciated the work and the efforts that have been done by LAS for gender sensitization and advocacy of issues related to gender.

She also endorsed the effective and accessible services of Legal Advisory Call Centre round the clock for the welfare of poor masses.

She added that she wanted to run Women Development Department's call center on the same pattern like Legal Aid Society.

She said that she has experienced a lots of things which needed to be introduced at Women Development Department Call Centre.

On this occasion Program Manager Legal Aid Society Maliha Azhar, Dr Muhammad Ali and others were also present.
