Spirit of comedy.
That's not the case here, when you can all gather round for a spot of family fun in the company of Casper the Friendly Ghost, the world's least- scary spook.
A magical comedy for children, Casper: A Spirited Beginning joins the little fellow as he tries to escape the clutches of the nasty Kibosh, played by James Earl Jones - the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars.
While on the run, he meets a ghostly trio with the charming names of Stinkie, Stretch and Fatso, who teach him how to use his strange powers.
With star actors Rodney Dangerfield and Steve Guttenburg also in the cast, this film continues a legend which began when cinema audiences saw the very first Casper cartoon released by Paramount Studios - way back in 1945.
And there's not a ghost of a chance friendly old Casper will do a vanishing act just yet...
