RIGHT, I'll put my hands up to this one. I am one of the 12,360 speeders to have been caught between April and September.
But here's how - forgetting that a two-lane "crawler lane" which feels like a dual carriageway is subject to 60mph and NOT a 70mph speed limit.
The speed camera operators know this is exactly where they are going to catch drivers, speeding up as they come onto the twin lane section to overtake slower vehicles.
Which is the point of these lanes. They're not dangerous sections of road, just easy pickings for the cameras.
