Spectralight Infinity, from Solatube International, is a new reflective tubing material able to transfer up to 500 percent more daylight than other products. Rays from the sun are transferred through the tubing, resulting in the brightest natural light possible. Other types of tubing are made from reflective material designed to "bounce" light once. The distinction offered by Spectralight is significant mostly in lowangle light conditions, such as the early morning and late afternoon. Additionally, the material directs as much light as possible all the way down the tubing, allowing for optimum performance, even on longertube runs up to 30 or 40 feet.
