Spector tapped for PR makeover.

The Spector Group, one of New York's premiere architecture and design firms, announced that it was awarded the interior design project for Gibbs & Soell, a top-ranked public relations firm.

In addition, Spector announced that it has completed interiors for MISI Company, LTD., an information technology consulting firm, and Guinness World Records, the global multimedia company best-known for its books on record-breaking achievement. All are located in Manhattan.

Gibbs & Soell's new offices will be located at 60 East 42nd Street, on the 44th floor.

"We're excited to be working on a creative design that will maximize the space while providing an optimal work environment," said Scott Spector, AIA, a principal at Spector Group.

The design will be an open plan layout that will take advantage of spectacular city views. "The location comes with good bones, excellent raw material with which to work and is in great condition," noted Spector.

Demountable glass partitions will allow for maximum flexibility and future changes, such as staff growth. The scheduled move-in date is scheduled for May 2009.

The Spector Group recently completed the interior space design for the headquarter offices of MISI Company, LTD, located at 45 West 36th Street.

Designed as an open plan layout, the space is leased by Samco, and MISI is the third project that the Spector Group has done with the landlord.

"Our ongoing relationship with Samco demonstrates the confidence our clients have in the Spector Group's ability to deliver a top-quality project on time and on budget," said Spector.

The user-friendly space combines areas for focus groups and testing along with recruiting and sales spaces. It features exposed ceilings, a reception area with a feature wall, and furniture that is interactive and environmental. M1SI is scheduled to move into the new space m April 2009.

Now located at 45 West 45th Street in what was once a raw, open space, Guinness World Records occupies a contemporary, loft-type setting designed by the Spector Group.

The company was previously owned by HIT Entertainment, a Spector client, and is now independent.
