Komfort Workspace

Komfort's Architectural Glass Division has completed a striking project for the medical equipment supplier, Cory Bros. The client's design brief was to maintain natural light throughout the office environment using glass as the primary material. In consultation with Komfort's architectural glass design team, it was decided to create laminated glass beams with a laminated glass ceiling. Komfort also supplied the glass balustrading and bespoke glass doors. Solar controlled film was applied to the existing skylights.



For the Royal Bank of Scotland's (the world's fifth largest bank) new Gogarburn HQ, architects RHWL specified Junckers floors for several areas. To meet environmental requirements, Junckers had to demonstrate the sustainability of all of its floors. 2000 [m.sup.2] of Junckers' solid Jatoba WideBoard flooring is used in offices, corridors, walkways and conference areas in the main office block, with 280[m.sup.2] of Junckers' solid Oak in the Bar Bistro area and 340 [m.sup.2] of Premium Beech in the fitness club.

Hacel Lighting

The distinctive Theta range from Hacel Lighting, available in recessed Solo, Duet, Trio and Quatro formats, offers versatility and effective multi-light source illumination. Each luminaire is manufactured from die-cast aluminium and can be repositioned within its own module to create alternate lighting solutions and appearances suitable for architecturally stimulating retail projects, museums and galleries.



Coventry's new Meriden Hospital recently underwent a successful operation using Armourcoat polished plaster. Part of the Walsgrave medical campus, the state-of-the-art BMI Healthcare hospital represents a [pounds sterling]24m investment. Armourcoat worked with architects James Totty Partnership to create a stunning polished plaster backdrop for the reception and waiting areas within the hospital. The rugged texture of the Armourcoat Pitted finish used throughout creates the appearance and feel of lightly polished limestone.
