Berrymans Lace Mawer's Stockton-on-Tees office formed following the division of Jacksons Solicitors in 2003 into two specialist firms called Jacksons Commercial & Private Law LLP and Jacksons Insurance Law. The, Jacksons Insurance Law's entire five-partner, 26-assistant team merged with Berrymans.

Crutes Law Firm, headed by Paul Hughes and Tim Wallis, advises on traffic accident, psychological and drowning cases. David Weatherburn, Toby Scott and Alan Simpson are recommended at Eversheds LLP which advised Norwich Union on chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder litigation.

Sintons advises UK, Scandinavian and Japanese insurers and corporates. Practice head David Raw, Frank Matthewson, Tim Smith and Jim Dias are recommended.

At Blackett Hart & Pratt, Blaine Ward has a focus on industrial disease cases.

Dickinson Dees advises insurance firms, local authorities and NHS trusts. Practice head Alison Gray recently advised on the settlement of a traffic accident claim. Hay & Kilner's Alun Williams heads a practice that advised on traffic accidents. Ward Hadaway advises traffic organisations. Roger O'Donnell heads the team.
