Another bumper crop of number plates will go on offer in Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority's 22nd online auction.

The three-day auction, beginning on Tuesday, will have on offer 300

numbers from categories M, N, L, K, J and I.

The acting director of Vehicles Licensing at the RTA's Licensing Agency Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Ali said he expected a large public participation from people who enjoyed the ease of using electronic auctions.

"This method of participation...gives them full freedom to select the appropriate numbers without any trouble or delay."

Before people were able to participate in the process, they needed to register either online or at a customer service centre and pay an insurance deposit of Dh5,000 which is payable by credit card, cheque or cash, and will be refunded at the conclusion of the auction.

The RTA website can be reached at www.rta.ae, or the call centre on 8009090.
