Special day for Scouts.
Scouts from Huddersfield, New Mill and Golcar gathered at the Jubilee Centre in Bradley Woods, near Brighouse.
The event - Around the World in 48 Hours - was held to promote EuroJam.
It will run between July 29 and August 10 next year at Chelmsford in Essex.
It will be the biggest UK Scouting event for 50 years and bring together 20,000 Scouts and Guides from 34 European countries.
During 12 days of camping and activities, the Scouts and Guides, aged 11 to 18, will learn about each other's cultures and also develop friendships.
Activities will include climbing, abseiling and discussions in a Global Development Village about world issues.
Mark Pullen, spokes- man for West Yorkshire Scouts, said: "Preparations for EuroJam were launched six months ago.
"But we are raising its profile, to help for when the young people are actively promoting their participation and holding fundraising events."
EuroJam will be the first European jamboree for 10 years.
It will be a prelude to the 2007 World Jamboree, which will celebrate the 100th birthday of Scouting.
