Speaker welcomes cooperation with endowment institutions.

Manama, Jan 7 (BNA) -- Council of Representatives Speaker, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, today said that charity and educational endowment institutions contribute to the development of the homeland, promote community partnership and maintain continuity of charity projects, which serve citizens and support education.

He underscored the role of endowment institutions and their programmes in Europe, which have greatly contributed to conveying the true image of Islam.

He welcomed establishing cooperation with charity and endowment institutions, and highlighted parliament's support for promoting endowment work in Bahrain.

This came as he received Director General of Saudi Al-Waqf Al-Islami Foundation, sheikh Abdullah bin Osman Abdulrahman Al-Hussaini, in the presence of Parliament First Deputy Speaker, Abdul Halim Murad and MP Ahmed QarataCA.
