Spanish Think-Tank Supports Iranian Students' Occupy Embassy Protest.

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- The Spanish center for Andalusia studies voiced support for Iranian students' protests against the British embassy last week, describing their confrontation with the British government as an anti-colonialist move.

"Now that the youths of the Islamic community have awakened and risen in the Arab spring and are cutting the hand of dictators and destroying the interests of the Zionists and their supporters from the Islamic Ummah (community), the revolutionary move by the Iranian students and their confrontation with the colonialist regime of Britain demonstrates the heartfelt solidarity of the nations in the campaign against oppression and colonialism," the center said in a statement.

"On the same basis, the center for Andalusia study voices its support and solidarity with the revolutionary move of the Iranian students and asks for the continuation of such revolutionary moves throughout the world," the statement added.

The statement was issued in support of the thousands of the Iranian university students who occupied the British embassy in Tehran for a couple of hours last week in a show of protest at London's inimical stances, demanding a full cut of ties with Britain.

The embassy protest was an outpouring of the wrath of the Iranian people who believe Britain is a hostile country seeking to damage and weaken the Islamic Republic.

The developments in Tehran came a week after the US and Britain targeted Iranian financial sectors with new punitive measures, including sanctions on the Iran's Central Bank and petrochemical industry.

The parliament had already approved the bill of a law on downgrading relations with Britain, but students were not pleased with the approval and demanded a full cut of relations with London.
