Madrid - The Spanish popular party (PP-opposition) is alarmingly mistaken in its approach towards Morocco and the Sahara issue, said Luis Maria Anson, member of the Spanish Royal Academy, noting that the party has overstepped the boundaries of political common sense.

"No, Spain cannot and should not support, encourage, finance and protect the terrorist arm of the polisario. It is a simple matter of principle. This is what the communist Agitprop has been clearly doing over the past weeks, absurdly backed by the PP which, in its attempts to target the socialist government, has overstepped the boundaries of political common sense," wrote Spanish paper "El Mundo" quoting Luis Maria Anson. While Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is pursuing a "flexible" policy vis-Ea-vis Morocco, the PP's leader Mariano Rajoy is being alarmingly mistaken concerning the Kingdom, along with Javier Bardem and those who look back nostalgically to communism, he added. "In Spain, we cannot lose objectivity and the happy medium," he underlined. On the origins of the polisario, Luis Maria Anson underlined that the former Soviet Union, while trying to assume the world's leadership, has supported some movements to weaken the US allies. Morocco, he went on, has suffered from the violence of terrorists and invested a lot to put an end to it.
