Spanish airline Spanair, part of the SAS Group, announced on Tuesday (18 April) that it would introduce new routes from Madrid and Barcelona in Spain to Zurich, Switzerland.

The new routes would be opened on 1 May and would offer two return flights daily from Madrid and a single return flight from Barcelona.

Spanair and Swiss International Air Lines passengers on the flights would be able to accumulate and trade in points under their respective frequent flyer programmes, Spanair Plus and Miles & More.
