Spacey calls for sex case to be ditched.

HOLLYWOOD actor Kevin Spacey's US sex assault case could be thrown out. The 59-year-old denies an allegation he groped a young man in a bar in Massachusetts in July 2016. His lawyer claimed at Nantucket district court yesterday that the accuser and his mum had "deleted things off the phone". The man said he did not erase evidence but invoked the US constitution's fifth amendment, so he could not be forced to testify further. Spacey's legal team claimed the case "needs to be dismissed" and Judge Thomas Barrett will make a decision at a later date. The American Beauty star was quizzed in May by Met Police over six alleged historical sex assaults in London, which he denies
