Space available at Fisk Building.
"Large office suites becoming available in the Fisk Building is a very unusual occurrence," Fabian says. "It gives companies a window of opportunity to relocate here, in a neighborhood that is fast becoming a magnet for entertainment and media businesses. And our rates are competitive, in comparison with other buildings in the area."
The largest contiguous block of space, totaling 12,000 SF, is on the 11th floor. It can be rented by one tenant or subdivided into two separate offices -- one of approximately 7,000 SF, and the other, 5,000 SF.
A suite on the fifth floor is the next largest, with 10,800 SF. A suite on the ninth floor provides 7,500 SF of space.
"These large suites will expand the market for the building," says Mark Lauzon, managing director, Cushman &Wakefield, the building's new managing agent.
Located on West 57th Street near Columbus Circle, the Fisk Building is currently undergoing a $20 million capital improvement program, which includes new windows, new elevator cabs, a new heating and cooling system, refurbished public corridors, and a new lobby.
Developments in the Columbus Circle area are transforming it into a center for media and entertainment companies. Construction is progressing rapidly on the 2-million-square-foot Columbus Center, which will house AOL/Time Warner. Construction for a new world headquarters for Random House is also proceeding. In addition, a major improvement and expansion are planned for the Hearst Building, located near the Fisk Building.
