Spa treatment of the fortnight: Elemis Pro-Intense Lift Effect.
What is it?
The Elemis Pro-Intense Lift Effect facial is perfect for those who are fighting the effects of gravity as they age. With special focus on the jaw, chin and neckline, a couple of sessions followed by a DIY treatment at home - if the customer desires - is bound to bring about visible effects, the therapist informed.
What to expect?
Essence Spa has never disappointed when it comes to courtesy, cleanliness and ambience. The welcome ritual includes a hibiscus drink and a cold towel for the hands. With that providing immediate relief from the heat, the treatment begins. The 'welcome touch' involves hot wash cloths placed on the feet and a brief foot massage using reflexology techniques.
An elaborate process of cleansing and toning follows using products from the Elemis Pro-Intense range. Capsules from the Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss range are used to massage the skin. The therapist said the strokes could seem intense but was especially effective for those with a double chin. The Jowl and Chin Mask is tucked over the area of the chin and jawline with loops on either side to bring over the ears so that it stays in place.
While this is at work, the eyes are prepped for a mask after which the therapist gives a head massage. After a few minutes, the masks are removed repeating the cleanse-tone routine. The capsules are applied again before a gel face mask is put on.
A shoulder massage is given during this time. After the mask, an eye and lip contour cream is used with a Pro-Collagen Lifting Treatment for the Neck and Bust which is applied using upward strokes. This is the final step in the facial.
How do you feel afterwards?
Highly recommended for those with dry or dehydrated, sagging skin, the face and neck are visibly firmer, lifted and fresh. The massage techniques for the face and neck using the Lift Effect Serum do prove beneficial. Considering the results, the use of the many products under the Elemis Anti-Ageing Pro-Collagen range seems justified.
