Southwest Airlines' anniversary tour reaches New York.
Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV) said on Saturday that its 'Conservation In Action Tour: 40 Projects for 40 Years' had reached New York.
As part of events to celebrate Southwest's 40th anniversary, students from the Student Conservation Association (SCA) are travelling in a custom-designed Southwest Airlines biodiesel RV for a summer-long tour. The RV is stopping in 25 cities and joining Southwest employees and community members in conservation projects.
In New York the volunteers cleaned the lake trail and picked up litter around the lake areas at the Hempstead Lake State Park.
