South City News: Tournament for charity; BILLESLEY.
A CHARITY tennis tournament which hopes to raise money for deprived children is set to swing into action.The Save the Children tournament will be held on Saturday at Billesley Tennis Centre in Wheelers Lane, Billesley. The event will include competitions in boys' doubles, girls' doubles and adult mixed doubles.
Organisers hope players will raise at least pounds 10 in sponsorship or donations.
The boys and girls doubles competitions take place between 10am and 1pm and players must be aged 13 or under on September 1. Winners will compete in the regional finals in Tipton in September. For details call Neil on 0121 464 0891 or email him at neil.supperstone @birmingham.gov.uk.
