South City News: Concerts for hospice; SELLY PARK.

A DOUBLE bill from the South Birmingham Sinfonia will continue the orchestra's tradition of raising funds for Birmingham St Mary's Hospice in Selly Park. The first of two concerts will be held on Saturday January 27 at Shirley Methodist Church, Stratford Road and the second will be held on the following Saturday February 3 at St Francis Church, Bournville Green. Both start at 8pm and admission is pounds 6.

The programme at both concerts includes the Academic Festival Overture by Brahms, soloist Jackie Hill in a violin concerto by Mendelssohn and Dvorak's New World Smphony.
