South City News: Chance to get green fingers; QUINTON.

A GARDENING for beginners course will start at the Quinzone Centre in Quinton in September.

The course will cover every aspect of gardening from lawn care and propagation to greenhouse work, growing vegetables and pots and containers.

As well as learning the theory, students will also get the chance to get their hands dirty and put into practice what they learn in nearby allotments and the Quinzone's horticulture polytunnel.

The lessons are suitable for children and adults and will be held evenings and Saturdays. For details call Bill Glock on 0121 423 3000.
