South American eatery will be a meat-eater's delight.
A NEW South American meat restaurant has opened in south Liverpool.
Owners of the restaurant pride themselves on offering the highest quality and biggest selection of meat and promise that it will be cooked to perfection.
Director Ibrahim Demir, from Turkey, said: "If you love meat, then Macello is the place for you.
"You don't have to go into the city centre for good quality, because we serve the best food and work hard to give the best service."
Starters include Persian souffle with creamy spinach and mushroom, kufteh tabrizi (which is cheesy meatballs in a homemade tomato sauce), jumbo prawns served with Macello special sauce and New Delhi chicken served with Asian spices.
The main course menu is split into three sections: pan-fried dishes, oven-cooked dishes and grilled dishes.
Pan-fried dishes include fillet sea bass with lemon and tomato sauce, Julienne beef served with mushroom, creamy demi-glace sauce and gherkin and chicken served with fajita and Cajun spices with sour cream and mustard.
Grills include the Turkish Delight, which is lamb steak, tomato tartare, served at the table, burgers, chilli cheese chicken, mixed meatballs and a selection of steaks.
While oven-cooked meals include ribs. The restaurant is currently rated five stars, with all customers giving Macello the highest rating.
Anita Marsland left a review which said: "We had heard great things about Macello and it more than lived up to expectations. Thoroughly recommend this place. Can't wait to eat there again."
Steven Rowe said: "Took my wife for her 40th; they couldn't have been more accommodating, they even bought her a cake! Mum, 68, and daughter, 1, loved it, too."
Amy Nicole Onder said: "If I could give it a 10, I would!! Amazing!!! The meat was to die for! Restaurant decor is stunning and staff are out of this world! Chef deserves a massive pat on the back! And even got a thumbs up from a very fussy five-year-old! This place just became my favourite restaurant. Outstanding" | Macello can be found at 16, Childwall Abbey Road.
