Soundelux Showorks Appoints Bill Bittel Vice President - Systems.

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1999--

Soundelux Showorks, one of the largest location-based entertainment production companies in the industry, has appointed Bill Bittel as vice president - systems, it was announced Tuesday by John Miceli, co-president of Soundelux Showorks.

Bittel will be responsible for overseeing Soundelux Showorks systems engineering, project management, fabrication, installation, programming and service groups for the U.S. and Australia locations. Additionally, Bittel will be charged with enhancing project quality, building client relationships and strengthening the company position in the location-based/themed-entertainment industry.

As senior audio engineer for Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, Bittel was responsible for the development of performance specifications, design, fabrication and installation of all attraction audio/video systems. Prior to that, Bittel was part owner and served as senior design engineer/project manager for Signal Perfection Limited, where he oversaw theme-park projects such as Water World and Jurassic Park for Universal Studios Hollywood and Taejon World Expo in Taejon, South Korea. Bittel has also held a project-manager position with Maryland Sound Industries, where his projects included ET's Adventure and Backdraft for Universal Studios Hollywood and Disney's Pleasure Island.

Soundelux Showorks most recently helped shape the sound of new Universal Studios Islands of Adventure by providing sound effects, sound design, audio-visual systems installation and on-site mixing for 17 of the new attractions within the new Florida park, including family rides, stage shows, high-tech roller coasters, and a 70 millimeter 3-D multiscreen production.
