| LONDON'S blues-influenced NINE BELOW ZERO head north to play ARC in Stockton tonight. Fresh from another successful tour of Europe and a string of dates along the south coast of England, Nine Below Zero built an almost obsessive following in the early 1980 with their take on American blues, while maintaining the energy of punk in their live performances. It was captured in their first album, Live At The Marquee, which was re-released towards the end of 2012.

Frontman and founding member Dennis Greaves said: "We decided to put it out again after Universal found some film from the night that we didn't know still existed." Support comes from STEVE POLTZ. Entry PS16.

The one-man show of Madness frontman Suggs, taking place at ARC next Wednesday titled My Life Story, is now sold out.

| TEESSIDE favourites FAT MEDICINE are playing two free gigs along the coast this weekend. Tonight the group play at The Station in Whitby and tomorrow at The Station in Loftus. Entry is free for both gigs and Fat Medicine will be on stage from 9pm.

| THE weekly Blues At The Bay shindig at the Cleveland Bay in Eaglescliffe tonight welcomes THE RHYTHM METHOD. Entry FREE. On Sunday the venue hosts a special afternoon show by BLUE SWAMP, featuring Bowden & Williamson, on stage from 5pm. Entry FREE.
