Sorted: Package deal con.

BIN any notes that drop on your mat from a Dutch firm claiming to hold a parcel for you.

Home Distribution's message, sent to hundreds of UK homes just after Christmas, says that the parcel waiting in their warehouse is an insured household item worth more than pounds 75.

In order for it to be delivered they'll ask you to send them a cheque for pounds 24.80.

Sorted reader Bryan Martin's order form stated that his parcel was coded LARG-501 - the same code printed on the dozen or so other letters we've been asked to investigate.

As reader George Smith from Doncaster said of his form: "This has con written all over it - please warn your readers.'' Consider it done, George.
