Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 Android 4.4.4 KitKat Now Available Via FreeXperia Project.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has made it to the list of supported devices by FreeXperia Project for CyanogenMod 11 custom firmware. FXP344 build version with CyanogenMod 11 running Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS will support the smartphone.

Warning: Custom firmware requires manual instalation that can damage the device. Do some research and follow the instructions provided by the custom ROM developers to avoid damaging the device. Do this at your own risk!

FreeXperia Project Confirms CyanogenMod 11 Support For Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Users of Sony Xperia T2 Ultra preferring custom ROMs can soon install stable builds of CyanogenMod 11 custom firmware via FreeXperia Project. A press release from FreeXperia Project announced the firmware support of FXP344 with CyanongenMod 11 running Android 4.4.4 KitKat for the smartphone.

At this time, FreeXperia Project firmware releases for Sony Xperia T2 Ultra are still in alpha builds, which is not recommended for everyone. Alpha builds of custom firmware contain bugs and will be fixed during wider testing. Most major features on the alpha builds are considered ready for daily use for any users capable of utilising custom firmware.

One significant error FreeXperia Project noted on the alpha builds is regarding the camera, which crashes when saving an image, but video recording works normally. ( Click here to view the list of firmware builds from FreeXperia Project with CyanogenMod 11.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Features And Specifications

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra sports 6 inches of full HD screen display with TRILUMINOS and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 display engines, 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 1 GB of RAM chipset, 8 GB of internal storage capacity with up to 32 GB microSD card and SDXC support. It also sports a 13 MP rear camera with pulsed LED flash and 1.1 MP front-facing camera with 720p video recording resolution.

Features included on the smartphone are Exmor RS mobile image sensor; HDR mode for image and video; multiple camera apps such as Portrait Retouch, Social Live, Timeshift Burst, Augmented Reality Effect and Background Defocus; Battery STAMINA mode and compatibility to a wide range of accessories from Sony including SmartWear, headphones and cameras.
