Sonera to dismiss 67 employees.

NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-27 March 2002-Sonera to dismiss 67 employees (C)1994-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The Finnish telecommunications group Sonera has completed the employer/employee negotiations it launched at the beginning of February.

As a result 67 people currently working for the group will be dismissed. Of these, 47 are employed by Sonera's Primatel Ltd subsidiary and 15 by its Sonera Plaza Ltd subsidiary while 5 are working for Sonera's research and development unit.

Sonera says the dismissals have to be carried out for productional and financial reasons.
