Sonera SmartTrust Ltd, a unit of the Finnish telecomms group Sonera, has signed a reseller agreement with the US-Canadian mobile Internet software and applications provider 724 Solutions Inc.
Under the agreement Sonera SmartTrust will resell 724 Solutions' Actionable Alerts application to wireless carriers worldwide. The mobile alert application can be used to push monitored and personalised content through SmartTrust's wireless Internet gateway to mobile phones.
Mobile operators will also be able to use the application to send an alert to pre-paid phone customers, notifying the users that they are approaching the end of their pre-paid minutes.
