22 December 2017 - International freight shipping group Somerset Marine will be integrated into the International Logistics Division of Masterpiece International on January 2, 2018, focusing on further joint expansion of worldwide general cargo and governmental contracts capabilities and reach, the company said.
Somerset Marine's consolidation with Masterpiece International marks the continued growth and expansion of the Magnate Worldwide group, who acquired both companies in the last 24-months - creating an ever-increasing corporate unification of logistic companies who offer a mastery of specialty services.
Masterpiece International is a newly-acquired subsidiary of US-based freight forwarding and logistics group Magnate Worldwide.
Somerset Marine Lines is to become a branch of Masterpiece International, Ltd.
Both Masterpiece and Somerset were purchased within the past two years by Magnate Worldwide.
Masterpiece is Magnate Worldwide's most recent addition. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Since 1989, New York based Masterpiece International has provided shipping for museums, galleries, art fairs, auction houses, and more.
Its services include international forwarding, installation and de-installation, consultation and coordination of exhibitions or special moves, and full supervision services at airports.
Since its founding in 2000, SML, a provider of domestic and international freight forwarding services, has put the customer first.
Somerset Marine's forte lies in specialty movements, project cargo logistics management, and government contracts; while Masterpiece International is currently the market share leader in the United States for fine arts logistics movements and specialty industries.
