Some 65 percent of the electricity consumption in April came from domestic sources.

In April this year, the energy consumption in the Republic of Macedonia amounted to 601,034 megawatt hours of electricity, 8,082 million cubic meters of natural gas, 399,521 tons of coal and 83,628 tons of oil, announced the State Statistical Office.

The gross national electricity production participated with 65.2% in the gross national electricity consumption, while 94.3% of the total national consumption of coals were used for electricity generation.

CHEAP ELECTRICITY BY THE END OF THIS YEAR

Cheap electricity will be restored by the end of this year after previously making all the necessary analysis, announced PM Zoran Zaev. According to him, that will be performed by shortening the "built-in" expenses that increase the electricity price and will restore the cheap electricity tariff.
