Solomon Software Announces New Web-Based Information Exchange Tool Exclusively For Channel Partners.

FINDLAY, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1997--

Provides Worldwide, 24-Hour Access To Each Other;

Extends Channel Knowledge Transfer

Solomon Software announced today the introduction of a new Web-based information exchange tool for its Channel Partners-Value-Added Resellers (VARs), Certified Professional Accountants (CPAs), and independent developers -- called WebForum. WebForum is a Web-based tool designed to provide the Company's Channel Partners with a means by which they can share information with each other about common projects, sales opportunities, product direction and other related business issues. Approximately 400 of Solomon Software's Channel Partners have registered to use the new service.

WebForum is a Web-based threaded discussion application exclusively for Solomon Software's Channel Partners -- those located in the United States and international. The service can be accessed by going to the password-protected Channel Partner section of Solomon Software's Web site.

"WebForum provides our Channel Partners with yet another opportunity to share information with each other that might help meet or exceed the expectations of a client or close a sale and increase profits," said Joseph Bailey, Vice President of National Sales, Solomon Software. "This service will allow our Partners to develop strategic partnerships amongst themselves to leverage their knowledge and skills."

Features of Solomon Software's WebForum service include:

-- Multiple Conferences - Channel Partners can choose which conferences they would like to participate in. Current conference topics include technical, sales and marketing, product development and Microsoft(R) SQL Server.

-- Threaded Discussions - As Channel Partners type in their questions and answers, the copy is displayed as a threaded discussion on the screen so that others can view it too -- aiding in knowledge transfer.

-- Advanced Searching - Channel Partners can use WebForum's built-in search engine to query the database of threaded discussions.

-- E-mail Notification Options - Channel Partners can "subscribe" to discussion threads, and they will be notified via e-mail when others add messages to the topic.

-- File Attachments - Channel Partners can attach files that can be viewed and downloaded by everyone who is participating in a conference.

What Are Solomon Software's Channel Partners Saying About WebForum?

"Web Forum is another fantastic resource provided by Solomon Software for its Channel Partners," said Steve Martin of Simon Master & Sidlow, a Solomon Software Value-Added Reseller in Wilmington, Delaware. "It enables resellers, consultants and developers worldwide to help each other and, at the same time, provide valuable feedback to Solomon Software. This tool, coupled with the new WebTech Web-based technical support service and FTP resources (file downloads) Solomon Software has provided, gives all who work with the Company access to endless knowledge-a huge benefit and edge in this complex industry."
