Solihull News: Students are talk of the town on French TV; SOLIHULL.
Teenagers and staff from The Sixth Form College, in Widney Manor Road, were the star guests on a local television show during their trip to Cholet in France.
The college has a partner school in France called the Lycee Renaudeau, in Cholet, in the region of Anjou near Angers and Nantes.
A group of 20 students visited the region, spending time at the school and joining French students in class, and visiting places of local interest in Cholet, which is Solihull's twin town.
Local television programme Le Journal heard about their visit and decided to feature them. The college's French teacher, Anne Dickinson, was interviewed about their experiences in Cholet.
"It was wonderful for the students to have the local television station show such interest in our visit," said Anne.
A return trip is planned next month, with students from the Lycee Renaudeau visiting for a week from March 17 to 24.
VIVE LA DIFFERENCE...six of the students who learned a lot about cultural differences on their visit to Cholet.
